Expectations for this game were low. We knew they were bringing out players from their 3rd team, all the way up to their 1st teams, both the guys AND girls. Thus our main aim before the match commenced was damage control.
As the game started, a realisation that we weren't actually playing badly at all, and that they were having a seriously hard time trying to break through our defences, gave us confidence. Not only this, but we managed to score the first goal! Things were looking up, until they finally managed to slip through our solid wall of defenders and get one back, to make the score 1-1. Unfortunately for us, our excitement at how well we were playing got the better of us, and they took advantage of this, scoring another to make it 2-1.
As we regrouped, the equalizer came easily, and the frustration was beginning to show in the opposition. We continued to play well, and they continued to grow angry. We scored another 2 goals with some quality team play and the proficient use of triangular passing.
Cries of "Why are you taking this so seriously?! It's only a friendly", were directed at our players as the second half was well underway. At this point the opposition had taken all of their girls off the pitch in an attempt to equalise... We scored another goal. BOSH - GAME OVER!
